Affiliate policy
Our affiliate links policy
DolceRoutes is an independent website funded in part through affiliate links. This page explains how they work, the platforms involved and our editorial approach.
Last updated: 25/09/2026.
What is an affiliate link?
Some links on the site contain an affiliate identifier. If you follow one of these links and make a booking or purchase that meets the programme’s conditions, the partner may pay us a commission.
DolceRoutes does not charge you extra for using these links. The final price and the terms of the offer are those shown by the partner when you book. They may vary according to dates, availability, promotions or your status with the platform.
Commissions vary by programme and booking. They are not necessarily a fixed percentage of the price paid.
For example: you book accommodation after following an affiliate link in a guide. If the booking qualifies, the partner pays DolceRoutes a commission. You do not make any additional payment to our website.
Platforms involved
| Partner | Type of service |
|---|---|
| Booking.com | Accommodation |
| GetYourGuide | Activities and guided tours |
| Skyscanner | Flights |
| Rentalcars | Car hire |
Links may pass through an intermediary affiliate platform. The providers involved in link tracking and any related tracking technologies are described in our privacy policy.
Independent editorial selection
We do not recommend a hotel, activity or service simply because it generates a commission. Our selection is based on its value to travellers, the available information and our editorial judgement.
An affiliate commission does not buy a positive review. A separate commercial collaboration, sponsored content or an accepted invitation must be disclosed in the relevant content.
An affiliate link alone does not mean that our editorial team has personally tried the property or service. When we describe a personal experience, we distinguish it from information gathered through research.
How to identify these links
Affiliate links appear in places such as booking and accommodation sections. A sponsored attribute in the code identifies the link’s status. The name of a platform alone does not always indicate whether a link is commercial.
What this means for you
Bookings and payments are handled by your chosen platform under its own sales, amendment, cancellation and privacy terms. DolceRoutes does not collect these payments.
A link may allow the partner to attribute a booking to DolceRoutes. Where cookies or other tracking technologies that require consent are used for this purpose, your prior agreement is needed before they are placed or read. Our privacy policy describes the services used on the site and how to manage your choices.
Creating a My trips account or saving an idea does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter. For questions about this policy, email: contact@dolceroutes.com.
